November 2015

Lesley is contributing this month to BSc and MSc lecture series at UCC (Environmental Impact Assessment/Ecological Assessment/Bird survey techniques); and presenting a workshop on waterbird survey methods at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.

The Irish Wetland Bird Survey starts in September and will run to March 2015. Check out the article written by Lesley and Helen Boland of the I-WeBS office in the latest I-WeBS newsletter (Issue 18) entitled 'waterbirds at high and low tide'.

2014 marks the tenth anniversary of Limosa Environmental. We wish to thank all associate ecologists that have worked with us over the years, and have contributed to the ongoing sucess of 'Limosa', as well acknowledging our, many longstanding, clients.

Our professional membership body has been granted a Royal Charter and is now known as the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).

September 2012

The new season of the Irish Wetland Bird Survey (I-WeBS) has commenced.

Previous results of this survey have been published recently by BirdWatch Ireland in 'Irish Wetland Bird Survey: Waterbird status and distribution 2001/02 - 2008/09' by Helen Boland and Olivia Crowe. Lesley Lewis was delighted to be one of the editors of this publication.
